I arrived in New Zealand with a clear intention to make a lot of black & white photographs.  Initially though, the cloudy, foggy atmospheric conditions I'd hoped for in autumn didn't materialise, and what I got was the tail-end of a warm summer - T shirt days - and not too many photographs at all.   Fortunately  when entering Fjordland my luck turned and indeed the visits to Milford and Doubtful Sounds were satisfyingly  gloomy with interesting cloud shapes.
