I came in spring and hoping for flower fields but it didn't take five minutes after completing the ascent from Norcia to see that wasn't going to happen and frankly I was weeks out.  The altitude here delays things markedly from the relative lowlands.  Still, I got some good mists , and some rather striking field patterns.  I should possibly go back for the flowers.
