This website has been up for 20 years in various guises, but I think this is the first time I've had a gallery exclusively containing landscapes from Britain. Purists might say that some of them are coastal photographs rather than landscapes though frankly I'm not too interested in the inner meanings of labels. At least they all have some of the scale of landscape photographs and I've tried to incorporate views that I think many people - and some photographers- may not have seen before.
I tend to enjoy finding my own viewpoints and perspectives rather than follow the tripod holes of others. I think that's important because inspiration from other photographers' work is one of the biggest reasons to visit a location. But going with the intent to replicate should not, IMO, be on the agenda. There is virtually always a more personal point of view available.
